The Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) has announced the recruitment of Medical Officers (MOs) through Short Service Commission (SSC) in 2025.

  • Must possess a recognized MBBS degree (completed internship by the specified date).

  • Must be registered with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or a State Medical Council.
• Age Limit (as on 31 December 2025):
  • MBBS degree holders: Must not have attained 30 years (born on or after 2 Jan 1996).
  • PG degree holders: Must not have attained 35 years (born on or after 2 Jan 1991).

Selection Process

The selection process for AFMS MO 2025 involves:

1. Screening of Applications
2. Interview – Candidates will be called for interviews at Army Hospital (R&R), Delhi Cantt.
3. Medical Examination – Those who clear the interview must undergo a medical test by a Special Medical Board to ensure fitness under military standards.

No separate written exam is conducted. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of interview performance and medical fitness.
