BSEB Exam System

1

Annual Board Exams – Every year, BSEB conducts the Class 10 (Matric) and Class 12 (Intermediate) exams during February–March. These are the main board exams that decide whether a student passes school and moves to the next level.

2

Practical Exams – Before the written (theory) exams begin, practical exams are held for subjects like Science, Home Science, and vocational subjects. In these exams, students perform experiments or activities, and marks are given based on their performance.

3

OMR-Based Papers – Many subjects include objective-type questions, where students must fill bubbles on an OMR sheet. These sheets are checked by machines, which helps in faster and more accurate evaluation and reduces human errors.

4

Strict Evaluation System – BSEB follows a very strict system to ensure fairness. Answer sheets are checked more than once (double-checking), and objective answers are scanned using digital tools. This makes the result process more transparent and reliable for students.

5

Compartment & Special Exams – If a student fails in one or two subjects, they don’t need to repeat the whole year. BSEB conducts compartment examsto give students another chance to pass. Special exams are also organized for students with specific needs or situations.
