The Samagra Shiksha Chandigarh (SSA, Chandigarh Administration) has officially announced the exam date for the Junior Basic Teacher (JBT / Primary Teacher) recruitment for 2025.

This recruitment drive covers 218 vacancies.

The exam is scheduled to be held on 5 October 2025 from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

To apply, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.), and a CTET Paper I qualification. 

The selection process involves:

1. A written JBT exam
2. Document Verification
3. Medical Examination

What Candidates Should Do Now

• Look out for the admit card release—it should arrive a few weeks before the exam.
• Make sure you have all the necessary documents (degree certificate, D.El.Ed certificate, CTET qualification, photo ID, etc.) ready for verification.
• Start (or continue) your exam preparation—cover basic teaching methodology topics, child psychology, language skills, and general aptitude (if the syllabus was shared in the notification).
• Plan your travel to the exam centre so that you arrive well before time on the exam day.
