The Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) has officially released the LIC AAO notification 2025, for the Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO) and Assistant Engineer (AE) recruitment for 2025.

    These are open to graduates from any discipline. Generalist officers handle a wide range of administrative and customer service functions across LIC offices.
  • AAO (Specialists) – 410 posts
    These positions are for candidates with specialized qualifications. Streams may include IT, Chartered Accountants, Actuarial, Rajbhasha (Hindi), and Legal. Specialists are recruited to provide expertise in their respective fields and support LIC’s operations in technical areas.
  • Assistant Engineers (AE) – 81 posts
    These posts are for candidates with engineering degrees. Streams usually include Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, and Electrical/Mechanical/Architectural backgrounds. AEs are responsible for infrastructure-related work, maintenance, and development of LIC’s properties and facilities across the country.

The distribution of vacancies also follows category-based reservations (UR, SC, ST, OBC, EWS) as per Government of India rules. This ensures fair opportunities for all sections of society.

Eligibility Criteria – LIC AAO Notification 2025

To apply for LIC AAO & AE 2025, candidates must meet certain age, education, and category-specific requirements. These ensure that only qualified and suitable candidates take part in the recruitment process.

  • Age Limit: Applicants must be between 21 and 30 years as of 1 August 2025. However, relaxations in the upper age limit are provided for reserved categories as per Government norms.

    • For AAO (Specialists) – Graduation with professional qualifications depending on the specialization (e.g., IT, Law, Actuarial Science, Chartered Accountant, Rajbhasha Hindi).
    • For Assistant Engineers (AE) – A degree in Engineering in the relevant stream (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.) from a recognized institution.
