Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), India’s leading energy company and a Maharatna PSU, has announced a massive Apprentice Recruitment Drive 2025.

The company is inviting online applications from eligible candidates under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for various trades and disciplines across 25 work centres in different parts of India.

This initiative aims to help young candidates gain hands-on training and skill-building opportunities in the oil and gas sector.

 Total Vacancies: 2,743

The vacancies are spread across different sectors and work centers of ONGC — such as Dehradun, Delhi, Mumbai, Vadodara, Chennai, Rajahmundry, Agartala, Kolkata, Jorhat, Ahmedabad, and more.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (as on 6 November 2025)

To apply for the ONGC Apprentice Recruitment 2025, candidates must meet the prescribed age conditions. The minimum age for all applicants is 18 years, while the upper age limit is 24 years. This means candidates should have been born between 6 November 2001 and 6 November 2007 (both dates inclusive).

However, relaxation in the upper age limit is provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories as per Government of India guidelines.

 Note: The age will be calculated as on 6 November 2025, the closing date of online application. Candidates must provide valid age proof such as a birth certificate or Class 10 mark sheet during verification.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have the required educational qualifications as per their chosen trade:

As per the Apprentices Act, the selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend as follows:

 Selection Process

Selection will be purely merit-based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

• There will be no written test or interview.
• If two candidates have the same marks, the older candidate will be given preference.
• Reservation will be applied as per Government of India rules (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD).
