The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment & Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has announced a massive recruitment drive for UP Home Guards in 2025.

Total Vacancies
The UP Government has released 41,424 Home Guard vacancies for 2025.
Only women’s reservation (20%) is officially mentioned in news sources.

Salary & Allowances
UP Home Guards are not paid a fixed monthly salary like regular police. Instead, they receive daily duty allowance for each day they are deployed.
The basic allowance is ₹600 per day, and this amount increases with Dearness Allowance (DA) and other state allowances.
If a Home Guard works the full month (around 30 days), the approximate monthly income becomes ₹18,000 to ₹21,000. Actual monthly earnings may vary depending on how many days the person is assigned duty.
