The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released a crucial notification dated 29 July 2025, regarding the final selection process under Advertisement No. 23-Exam/2016 for the Combined Technical Services (General Selection) Examination 2016.

This notice concerns the Information and Public Relations Department, where based on departmental data, 18 posts for the role of Cinema Operator cum Publicity Assistant were included in the final recommendation.

Vacancy & Candidate Details

Out of the 18 total posts, the breakup and final selection details are as follows:

Horizontal Reservation: The lone ST-reserved seat remained vacant due to the absence of eligible candidates.

That post has been included under the General category as per Uttar Pradesh Lok Seva (Reservation for Economically Weaker Sections) Act, 2020.

The Commission has clarified that the candidate placed in the waiting list has now been provisionally included in the final result. His/her candidature will be subject to verification of certificates/documents submitted to the Commission.

Legal Proceedings

The Commission further noted that any pending or future court rulings in relation to this recruitment advertisement or its selection list will be binding.

Hence, the final result for any remaining post will only be declared upon approval from the Hon’ble High Court and completion of all legal formalities.

Official Action

As per approval, a merit-wise list of selected candidates for the post of Cinema Operator cum Publicity Assistant (for 18 posts) has already been issued on 28 July 2025, with reference number 765/GoPa-1-3/2023/2025. This list is available on the official UPSSSC website.
