The Bal Vikas Seva Evam Pushtahar Vibhag, Uttar Pradesh has released district-wise notifications for UP Anganwadi Recruitment 2026.

At present, vacancies are open for 17 districts through separate official notifications.

Eligible female candidates can apply online for Anganwadi Worker and Helper posts through the official portal, the direct link of which is given below

Candidates should note that each district has its own notification, vacancy details and last date.

Therefore, applicants must select their district on the official portal and read the district-wise notification carefully before submitting the online form.

Eligibility Criteria

Only female candidates are eligible to apply for the advertised Anganwadi posts.

The candidate should be a local resident of the concerned village/ward area for which she is applying.

In the Kannauj official notification, the age limit is given as 18 to 35 years as on 01 January 2026, and the required qualification is Intermediate / 12th or equivalent. 

For Agra district also, the official notification mentions that candidates must be female, the minimum qualification should be Intermediate or equivalent, and the age should be 18 to 35 years as on 01 January 2026. 

Selection Process

The selection will be done on the basis of merit, not through a written exam.

The Agra notification clearly mentions that the merit will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the required educational qualification, and there will be no written exam or interview. 

Preference may be given as per rules to eligible candidates such as widow, divorced, deserted women and candidates from families below the poverty line, according to the conditions mentioned in the district notifications.

The district notifications mention that residence, caste and income certificates should be issued from the proper authority and should be digitally signed / verifiable online. 

Offline applications will not be accepted where the district notification has asked candidates to apply online only.

Candidates should submit the form before the district-wise last date.

Honorarium / Salary

Anganwadi posts are honorarium-based. In the Agra notification, the honorarium for Anganwadi Worker is mentioned as ₹4,500 + ₹1,500 additional honorarium = ₹6,000 per month, along with incentive amount.

For Helper, the honorarium is mentioned as ₹2,250 + ₹750 additional honorarium = ₹3,000 per month, along with incentive amount. 

Honorarium means a fixed amount paid every month for the work done. In Anganwadi jobs, workers and helpers are usually paid honorarium instead of regular government salary.

The notification also mentions that an incentive amount may be paid separately per month, and future changes in honorarium will be applicable as per government orders.
